Ford Explorer Class Action is Preliminarily Approved

On November 21, the judge in the Sanchez-Knutson v. Ford Motor Company case granted preliminary approval to the class action settlement. The order is here; the order has been subsequently amended twice; once on February 21, 2017 and again on March 2, 2017.

Part of the settlement involves the creation of a new Ford Technical Safety Bulletin designed to fix the exhaust issue that was the focus of the litigation. That TSB, which we (my firm and the lawyers at Kelley Uustal) helped draft, is here.
